Sundowner First Flight
|
Well... it's been a long time since we actually updated the page, but the Sundowner flew for the first time on May 15th at Madera. We were able to put 3 flights on it to get all the bugs worked out of it. There wasn't many bugs to work out of it at all, it flew great! A few weeks later I was able to put 2 demo flights on it at the Watsonville Airshow, the crowd loved it and I got plenty of comments on how good it looked in the air.
I wil try and put a gallery of the first flight up soon. |

March

The picture of the month is up for March. I'm starting to run out of cool photos, I think I need another race so I can get some more! Only problem is I'll be (hopefully) flying more than I will be taking photos. |

2004 Season
|
Well, it's been awhile since I've posted an update here and thought it was time to do so. We've been off the racing circuit for some time now with a brief appearance at Reedley last year and our Gr-7 was lost in practice for the 2003 season.
So, what's new at Luvara Air Racing? For the past year, I have been working on a real-time telemetry system for uav's and r/c models. It's now a complete product and available through http://www.rcatsystems.com. This device is really going to help many fine tune their racers. Now, with all of this wonderful electronics, not having a plane isn't going to do us much good... Well, there's a new F1 under construction in the shop and we hope to perform test flights in March if all goes well. It's called Sundowner and sports a 115" wingspan and will utilize our race proven Aerrow 75 motor.
If all goes as planned, Chris will be flying a Sundowner in the F1GT class. I'm personally looking forward to racing again in the 2004 season.
More updates to come.... |

Redesigned
|
|
Well, it was about time that I redesigned the site again. As usual, all my testing doesn't find bugs, so there might be a few little problems. Among things that have been improved and will be refined even more are the image galleries. Each and every file has been adjusted for a smaller file size, and touched up to look better. I will have a new, easier, faster loading gallery system in the near future, until then, I hope that you enjoy them. Any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to email me. |
